BANK HISTORY Citizens State Bank serves individuals and businesses in Leon, Freestone, Limestone, Madison, Robertson, Houston, Anderson, Bosque, McLennan, Ellis, Johnston, Hill, and Navarro counties. Established in 1925, Citizens State Bank has been serving Leon and surrounding counties for over seventy-five years. Our main office is located in the heart of Buffalo, Texas. Buffalo is situated at "the crossroads" of Texas located approximately half-way between Houston and Dallas on Interstate 45 and Highway 79. Buffalo is a community with much to offer. Centerville is ideally located in the geographical center of Leon County where State Hwy 7 and 75 meet with I-45 bordering on the West. From Centerville, you can go any direction and be in a major city in less than an hour for shopping or entertainment, yet still return home to enjoy the country-style of living Leon County is known for. Whitney is located approximately 35 miles north of Waco, 70 miles southwest of Dallas Fort Worth and is home to one of the best recreational lakes in the State of Texas. Itasca is just off of Interstate 35 West, located 58 miles southwest of Dallas, 42 miles south of Ft. Worth and 42 miles north of Waco. Itasca is in a briskly developing area of the state and is full of rich resources including its rural charm. Hubbard is centrally located at the crossroads of State Hwy 31 and State Hwy 171 which is 28 miles east of Waco, 20 miles west of Corsicana, 23 miles south of Hillsboro and 23 miles north of Mexia. Hubbard is known for its antiques and beautiful old Victorian homes. Teague is at the junction of U.S. Highway 84, State Highway 179, and Farm roads 80 and 145, nine miles southwest of Fairfield in western Freestone County. One of Teague’s finest qualities is its support and involvement with the youth and strong school system in the community. Citizens State Bank is a member of Industry Bancshares, Inc., a holding company that was formed by local shareholders in the Industry, Texas community.
